28 Pakistani students stranded in Afghanistan for three months have been allowed to return home through the Torkham border, bringing a wave of relief to their families, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday. 

Officials confirmed that the repatriation process began today at the Torkham crossing, where 28 Pakistani students successfully entered Pakistan.

The border has been temporarily opened exclusively for students to facilitate their safe return.

According to officials in Landi Kotal, the Torkham border will remain open on January 12 and 13, with the return of stranded students scheduled over the two days.

Families and students welcomed the decision, calling it a long-awaited humanitarian step after months of uncertainty.
