Doctors at the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) completed the Bronchoscopy procedure of a five-month-old child while maintaining the tradition of in-time diagnosis and successful treatment of complex diseases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to details, the five-month-old child was suffering from a lung infection for one month, and even the heavy antibiotic medicines failed to provide any relief to the patient.
Under the supervision of Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Frayad Hussain, who is also an Associate Professor of Pediatric Medicine, the procedure was performed by the doctors of the pulmonology and pediatric medicine.
Dr Faryad Hussain said that bronchoscopy confirmed the presence of superbugs in the lungs. He said that the child's condition improved after being given drugs effective against the superbug Klebsiella.
Medical experts highlighted the importance of bronchoscopy in diagnosing respiratory diseases, noting its effectiveness in identifying infections and serious conditions in children. Minahil is now on the path to recovery, benefiting from the dedicated care at LGH.
