An Islamabad district and sessions court on Saturday suspended a lower court’s order to block 27 YouTube channels, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Friday.
Islamabad Sessions Court has rdered the restoration of 2 YouTube channels of Matiullah Jan and Asad Toor yesterday. The hearing was conducted by Additional District and Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka.
The court suspended the order to the extent of Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Oriya Maqbool Jan, Abdul Qadir, Uzair Anwar, and Umair Rafique. The appeal could not be decided due to the unavailability of senior journalist Habib Akram.
Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah had ordered the blocking of the YouTube channel.
