The federal government gave Rs616 billion subsidy to various government departments in the first six months of the last fiscal year, 2024-25.
This shows a 42 percent increase in subsidies to government departments from July to December 2024, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
According to a report released by the Finance Ministry, government departments received Rs333 billion subsidy in the first six months of the last fiscal year. Government departments were given Rs113.52 billion in grants during this period.
Moreover, government departments were given Rs92 billion loan in this period. Government departments received Rs77.50 billion in equity during this period.
