Pakistan, Azerbaijan ink MoU to boost legal, judicial cooperation

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen cooperation in the legal and judicial field, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The MoU was signed during the visit of Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

The Federal Minister held high-level meetings with senior leadership in Azerbaijan. He called on Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov. Both leaders emphasized the importance of legal diplomacy in enhancing bilateral cooperation.

Azam Nazeer Tarar’s meeting with Azerbaijan's Minister for Justice Farid Ahmadov focussed on institutional exchanges and the rule of law.

The Law Minister also met with the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, Inam Karimov. Their discussion covered judicial reforms, digitalization of the judicial system and strengthening alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
