Rain in various part of the country including provincial capital Punjab turned weather pleasant which has brought relief to the people from intense heat and humidity, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. According to the Met office, Lahore's current temperature was recorded at 32°C with partially cloudy skies.
Winds were blowing at 6km/h while humidity rate is at 65%. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 36°C over the next 24 hours, with a minimum of 28°C. The city's Air Quality Index was recorded at 113 and there is a 30% chance of rain. The rainy spell is likely to continue until July 13. Rain was also reported in Khyber Paktunkhawa, Azad Kashmir and Balochistan.
Balochistan’s Harnai and its surrounding areas received heavy rain followed by thunderstorms and strong winds by making the weather pleasant. Authorities have warned of possible flash floods due to continued rainfall in the region.
Due to continuous rainfall, 18-year-old labourer Waleed was killed after the roof of a room inside a private factory collapsed in Faisalabad. Rescue officials said the dilapidated roof was made of T-iron and girders near Jaranwala Road. Rescue teams recovered the body from the rubble and shifted it to a nearby hospital.
