As many as seven more militants, affiliated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other outfits, have been killed as the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and police continue to carry out ground and aerial strikes against militants in Balochistan as part of the Operation Shaban, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Sources told 24News TV channel that the number of militants killed in these strikes had now reached 71, while the number of those killed in the Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations since July 5 stood at 109.

They added that forces were determined to root out militancy from the country.

Security sources said a large quantity of weapons and ammunition has been recovered from the possession of the Khawarij who were sent to hell: .

The recovered items include M4 rifles, SMGs, rocket launchers, mobile phones, and other equipment. The security sources said Operation Sha'ban will continue in Balochistan until the elimination of the last terrorist.

Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has praised forces for carrying out successful operations against militants in Balochistan.

In a message, he has saluted the jawans of Pakistan Army, FC and the police, and said there is no place for terrorists in Pakistan.

The minister has said that the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its forces.

He has further said that operation against militants will continue.
