Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as President of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has given the command of the party’s by-election campaign to Maryam Nawaz in Punjab.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PM chaired the party’s core team meeting here in Lahore on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Abdul Rehman Kanjo, Jagnu Mohsin and others.
In the meeting, Maryam Nawaz said that people will reject Imran Khan's statement while Hamza Shahbaz coined the view that people will select the PMLN candidates on the basis of performance.
