Three people, including a woman and a child, were killed in two separate incidents of firing and a road accident in Shikarpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to the rescue officials, a speeding van crushed a child to death on Sukkur Road in the jurisdiction of New Faujdari police station.
The deceased was identified as 10-year-old Amjad Pahorr.
Police said that the van driver fled from the spot.
A man killed his wife in Sobal Chandio village in the jurisdiction of Humayun police station.
The woman was identified as Waheeda Chandio, police said, adding she had gone to her parents' home a year ago after developing differences with her husband.
“The man forced his entry into Waheeda’s parents’ home and shot her dead,” the Force elaborated.
Police further said that the man fled after committing the crime, while further investigation was underway.
In yet another incident, a man was killed after a rifle, which his cousin was holding in his hands, accidentally went off.
The police said the incident took place in a katcha area in the limits of Meelani police station.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Wajid Mehar, police said, adding that they were trying to ascertain whether the incident was the consequence of an enmity or it was merely an accident.
