President Asif Ali Zardari chaired PPP Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s (AJK) Parliamentary Party meeting at which discussion was held on the next elections in the territory, the country’s political situation and the party’s reorganization, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The president stressed the need for strengthening the party’s organizational structure in AJK besides mobilizing the workers.
AJK cabinet ministers, including Sardar Yaqub and Chaudhry Pervaiz Ashraf, and the AJK Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar were in attendance.
Consultations were held on what the party’s future strategy would be in the AJK.
The party’s office-bearers, on the occasion, gave suggestions for dealing with the political challenges.
