The federal government has decided to abolish taxes on imported used vehicles in phases till 2030, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The government is considering lowering taxes on imported spare parts for vehicles. A proposal is on the table to remove all taxes on imported vehicles under the tariff policy.
The government proposed to provide relief to buyers who are interested in purchasing vehicles through installments.
In Budget 2026-27, the federal government decided to enhance the limit of auto financing.
