Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has said that the federal government is providing all kinds of support to the Balochistan government to restore peace in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The minister, who is in touch with the Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and is regularly receiving updates from him on the operation launched to free Jaffar Express passengers taken hostage by Baloch terrorists, while expressing deep grief and shock over the incident has said that the Center will continue to provide support to the provincial government in this regard.

“The chief minister is a brave man. And together we will eliminate the terrorists,” he has said, adding, “The government is ready to go to any extent to flush out these anti-state people.”

The minister has said that the country's enemies are trying to destabilize it through their cowardly acts.

Mohsin Naqvi also paid rich tributes to the security forces for securing the release of over 100 Jaffar Express passengers from the captivity of Baloch terrorists.

The minister has said that the forces also killed more than 16 terrorists for which they deserved appreciation.

He has prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. “Attacking innocent civilians is a barbaric act,” Naqvi has said, and added, “Those carrying out such activities are the country’s enemies, who want to destabilize it. But the government will foil all their conspiracies with the support of the nation.”

State minister lashes out at PTI

Meanwhile, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has hit out at the PTI for holding the Pakistan Army responsible for the incident, saying it is shameful and unacceptable.

In a tweet, he has said this amounts to a propaganda against those security forces’ personnel who are giving a tough time to the terrorists. “This is not politics. It is an all-out war against those who are laying down their lives in the defence of the country.”
