Two people including a student died while 11 other students received serious injuries when a school van fell into a ravine in Dhamtour area of Abbottabad on Wednesday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ill-fated school van was going to Abbottabad from Bagnotar. Sources said that six injured children were in critical condition.
Soon after receiving the report of the incident, Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies and injured children to a local hospital.
Dacoit killed in Rawalpindi
Three accused who were riding a motorcycle opened fire on a police party after committing a robbery in Pir Wadhai area of Rawalpindi during which one dacoit died while two others managed to escape from the scene.
Sources said that the Pir Wadhai police established a checkpost after receiving a report that some accused snatched a wallet, currency and mobile phone from a citizen on gunpoint and fled away.
After taking notice of the police checkpost ahead, the accused opened fire on the cops.
The dead dacoit was identified as Farhan who was wanted by police in a number of murder, attempted murder and robbery cases.
Sources said that the police started a search operation in the area to apprehend the culprits.
