Two people were killed while another was seriously wounded when two persons riding a motorcycle sprayed them with bullets in the limits of Saddar police station in Sargodha, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Ihsan and Faisal, while Mazroob Jamal was injured.
The assailants, Shehbaz and Shehryar, fled from the spot after committing the crime.
Taking notice of the incident, DPO Sargodha Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf sought a report, while a heavy contingent of the police, led by an additional SP, reached the crime scene.
A Crime Scene Unit and forensic teams collected evidence from the spot.
The DPO said that the provision of justice to the victims’ families would be ensured by arresting the assassins.
He informed that the bodies had been shifted to the DHQ Hospital for the postmortem.
Police said that the incident was the consequence of an old enmity.
Two dead in firing incident in Khairpur Gambat
Two people were dead and two received serious bullet wounds when unidentified armed assailants started firing on them on National Highway Khairpur Gambat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The incident occurred near Taj Hotel located at National Highway Khairpur Gambat.
Both the dead persons were later identified as Fauji Junejo and Akhtiar Junejo.
After receiving the report of the incident, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hassan Sardar Junejo along with a police party reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured persons to Civil Hospital.
The SSP said that different police teams were constituted to apprehend the culprits and for this purpose police teams conducting raids on different locations.
