Dr Rabia Wali has achieved a historic milestone by completing postdoctoral research in Sports Biomechanics at Loughborough University, becoming the first Pakistani woman in the field of Sports Sciences and Physical Education to complete international-level postdoctoral research in the discipline.
According to a press release issued on Tuesday, Dr Rabia is currently serving as a faculty member at Lahore College for Women University, where she is actively promoting modern sports science and biomechanics research in Pakistan.
Dr Rabia conducted her research under the supervision of globally renowned biomechanics expert Professor Mark King.
Her study focused on athlete performance enhancement, injury prevention, motion capture analysis, and the use of advanced biomechanics technologies in sports science.
Her achievement is being hailed as a significant development for women in academia and sports research, with experts describing it as an important step toward strengthening scientific research and athlete development in the country.
