Pakistani security forces in an effective response successfully countered Afghan Taliban and Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij unprovoked attack on Pakistani posts on the international border and killed more than 200 Afghan Taliban and Khawarij killed in Pakistan's response, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According to ISPR, Pakistan captured 21 Afghan posts from Taliban. However, 23 soldiers were martyred in defense of the homeland while 29 soldiers injured were in exchange of fire. According to ISPR, Pakistan Army used right of self-defense against attacks and decisively pushed back attackers from border.
The security forces said on the night of October 1 and 12, the Afghan Taliban and the Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij carried out unprovoked attacks on Pakistani posts along the international border. The cowardly act included firing and some physical raids, ISPR said. The unprovoked attacks by the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij were aimed at facilitating terrorism.
The security forces said Taliban forces and allied foreigners suffered heavy casualties in Pakistan Army operation. Pakistan forces spokesperson said that apart from the deaths, the number of injured were quite in Afghanistan. Afghan Taliban cowardly action included firing along with some physical raids. The unprovoked attacks by the Afghan Taliban and Fatna al-Khawarij were aimed at facilitating terrorism. The attacks were aimed at furthering the nefarious objectives of Fitna al-Khawarij. The ISPR said Pakistan Army is always ready to protect the lives and property of its people and the integrity of the borders.
The security forces made it clear that Pakistan prefers constructive diplomacy and dialogue, but will not tolerate the use of Afghan soil for terrorism.
After unprovoked firing from across the Pak-Afghan border continued throughout last night, the Pakistan Army carried out a successful strike inside Afghanistan, destroying the Durrani Camp-2 besides conquering over 20 checkpoints and killing more than fifty Taliban fighters and foreign militants.
Security sources said that Afghan forces opened unprovoked fire last night at multiple border points, including Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral, and Baram Chah in Balochistan. The attacks, they said, were aimed at assisting Khawarij formations attempting to infiltrate into Pakistan.
Sources further said that the hideouts of Daesh and Khawarij inside Afghanistan were also attacked by Pakistani troops.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar express concern:
Saudi Arabia and Qatar have expressed concern over the border escalation and called for restraint and dialogue to resolve the situation, urging both sides to exercise patience.
Responding to the Pak-Afghan border tension, the Saudi Foreign Ministry has said that both countries should show restraint.

According to AFP, Iranian top diplomat Abbas Araghchi on Saturday called on the Islamic republic's neighbours Afghanistan and Pakistan "to exercise restraint" amid ongoing clashes.
"Our position is that both sides must exercise restraint," Araghchi said during a live interview with state television, adding that "stability" between the countries "contributes to regional stability".
Several posts captured, Taliban surrender:
According to security sources, alert and prepared Pakistani soldiers guarding various posts responded swiftly and forcefully, targeting multiple Afghan positions and neutralising several Afghan facilitation posts used by Khawarij as launch pads for terrorist actions in Pakistan.
Military sources said Durrani Camp-2 served as a central launchpad for foreign militants carrying out attacks inside Pakistan, and that Pakistan’s response has continued in full measure against Afghan forces and the posts that sheltered facilitators.
Security sources said that many Taliban and Khawarij either fled their posts or were killed, and that Pakistani forces had seized several Afghan positions.
In one reported incident, an Afghan post in the Kunar area opposite Bajaur was destroyed, and Afghan soldiers abandoned positions under heavy Pakistani fire, leaving casualties behind.
The security sources confirmed that at one captured post, an Afghan soldier affiliated with Taliban forces reportedly surrendered to Pakistan Army troops.

Dozens of Taliban fighters killed as Pak Army destroys Ghaznali headquarters
Giving a befitting reply to the Taliban forces, Pakistan Army targeted Ghaznali headquarters in the Nushki sector, destroying it completely and resulting in the deaths of dozens of Taliban and foreign fighters.
According to security sources, a tank positioned on a peak on the Afghan side in the area opposite Kurram was successfully targeted and several Afghan Taliban tanks were destroyed in the strike.
Pakistan also captured a key post of Taliban forces in the Zhob sector and hoisted the Pakistani flag.
An Afghan Taliban Humvee armoured vehicle located at the captured Taliban post was also destroyed.
According to security sources, the Afghan Taliban's second battalion headquarters in the Barabcha area was targeted in which dozens of Afghan Taliban were either killed or injured.
Likewise, Pakistan Army reportedly also demolished Manojaba Camp, Shapola Hala post, Karzai post, Barikot, Asmatullah Karar camp.
As a result of Pakistan's fierce and effective response, Afghan Taliban and foreigners hiding at Taliban posts in the Chaman border area were killed while fleeing from their posts.
According to security sources, the video shows Khawarij and Afghan Taliban trying unsuccessfully to escape from their posts.
Pakistani forces took timely action and engaged the fleeing foreigners and Afghan Taliban.
