Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned Afghanistan’s unprovoked aggression on Pakistani territory and paid glowing tribute to the Pakistan Army for responding with courage and composure, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
In her statement, Maryam Nawaz said the Pakistan Army represents the nation’s honour, dignity, determination, and pride.
She said the armed forces have once again responded to Afghan aggression with the same bravery, wisdom, and national unity that have always defined their conduct.
“The borders of Pakistan are a sacred trust, and their protection is the duty of every Pakistani,” she asserted, adding that the Pakistan Army’s response carries a clear message: Pakistan’s soil stands as a guarantor of peace, not a symbol of weakness.
Maryam Nawaz further said that 120 million people of Punjab stand shoulder to shoulder with their valiant armed forces like an unbreakable wall of strength.
“We seek peace, but there will be no compromise on Pakistan’s sovereignty or the protection of its citizens,” she affirmed.
