A parliamentary delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sunday called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi at his residence in Islamabad to discuss the upcoming election of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.
The PTI delegation included Asad Qaiser, Atif Khan, Ali Asghar Khan Jadoon, Junaid Akbar, and Dr. Amjad Khan, while PPP Provincial President Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha also attended the meeting.
According to sources, the PTI representatives emphasised the importance of democratic cooperation in the provincial assembly and sought support from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the Chief Minister’s election.
“The PPP has always adhered to democratic traditions, and we hope for its cooperation in this crucial phase,” the PTI delegation stated during the discussion.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi assured the delegation that he would fully act in accordance with the Constitution and the law regarding the resignation of former Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.
He underlined the need for consultation and coordination among political parties, saying that the province could only progress through inclusive governance and a spirit of cooperation.
“The People’s Party has always upheld democratic traditions and strengthened democracy,” Kundi said, adding that all political forces must play a joint role in ensuring lasting peace and improving the lives of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
