The Punjab government has approved the reconstitution of the Board of Governors of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, aiming to make child rights protection and welfare initiatives more effective, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to official sources, the newly reconstituted board will include both government and non-government members. The decision is intended to strengthen policy formulation, oversight, and reform measures related to child protection across the province.
Officials said the new board will implement comprehensive measures for the welfare and rehabilitation of destitute and abused children in Punjab.
Following its reconstitution, the board has been directed to convene its first meeting soon to review ongoing projects and finalise the future plan of action.
