A 132KV electricity tower collapsed due to flooding in Thado Dam on the outskirts of Karachi on Friday, 24NewsHD TV reported.

Sindh Energy Minister Nasir Shah took immediate notice and action, making the authorities to fix the tower and restore power supply to the nearby areas.  

STDC CEO Saleem Sheikh and his team were involved in repair work on the tower and finally it was reinstalled and 100 MV power was restored to various areas. Nasir Shah appreciated the hard work and dedication of the STDC team

The incident occurred at around 8 PM on September 9, Nasir Shah was informed at a briefing. The transmission line from Sindh Nooriabad Power Company to Karachi's 33rd grid station was affected. The STDC team used all resources on an emergency basis after immediate to address the issue.

Under normal circumstances, it takes a month to install a new tower, but the STDC team completed the work in shortest possible time, Nasir Shah said. He said that Sindh has no dearth of hard-working and qualified officers. He said that such officers play a significant role in development and service for Sindh.
