A policeman lost his life when unidentified assailants who were riding a motorcycle opened fire on him in Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The firing incident took place in the jurisdiction of Mathra Police Station in Peshawar.
The dead policeman was later identified as Constable Mohammad Atif.
The policeman was performing his duties in Police Lines Peshawar.
Earlier in August 2025, three people, including a police officer, were killed when unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate fire on their vehicle in Peshawar.
The firing incident took place in the Manchani Gate area of Peshawar.
As per initial details, all three who were travelling in the same vehicle came under severe firing on their way to Dar Mangi, after which they died on the spot.
