Audit authorities have revealed that 245 technical institutes were illegally merged with Federal Board Islamabad and collected Rs26.7 million as fee from these institutes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to audit objection report, Federal Board Islamabad does not have legal authority for merger of technical institutes and all was being done without the consent of the federal government.
Federal Board administration did not submit any response to the audit objections. The Audit authorities have demanded that Board should provide relevant legal provisions immediately so that responsibility should be fixed for violation of law.
