Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU) conducted the second National Equivalence Board (NEB) Examination of 2026 as per the standards and laws of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Students from 10 countries participated in the examination, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
The NEB examination is conducted twice a year to assess the knowledge, clinical skills and professional attributes of students who have partially completed a medical or dental programme at a foreign institution and are seeking transfer to a medical or dental college in Pakistan.
The result of the examination is expected to be declared within one week.
PM&DC will issue the required NOC to candidates who qualify the examination, enabling them to seek transfer to recognized medical and dental colleges and universities in Pakistan.
However, final transfer will remain subject to the availability of seats in the respective medical or dental institution and fulfilment of applicable regulatory requirements.
