Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah said on Saturday that it was the parliament which had to take decision about new provinces in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking to reporters in Lahore, he said that the discussion on the creation of new provinces would be held in the parliament. “It will be at the joint session of the parliament that the decision to hold a referendum on the issue will be taken,” Sanaullah added.
He said that the issue of new federating units had not been taken up by the federal cabinet as yet.
SAPM said that bitterness in relations between the PML-N and the PPP had reduced.
