The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has decided not to issue new currency on the eve of Eidul Fitr this year, dampening the celebrations of children, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The bank also decided even not to issue new notes through SMS service.
The SBP has halted the issuance of new currency notes after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The non-issuance of the new currency notes will certainly send the rates sky high in the black market.
