The Besakhi Mela celebrations entered their second day in Nankana Sahib, where thousands of Sikh pilgrims from India and other countries gathered at Gurdwara Janam Asthan to perform religious rituals, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to the schedule, on the second day, the pilgrims will also travel via special buses to Gurdwara Sacha Sauda in Farooqabad for further ceremonies.
The Evacuee Trust Property Board, Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, and the district administration have made excellent arrangements for the visiting pilgrims.
In view of the large gathering, foolproof security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of all participants throughout the Besakhi festivities.
