Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation on Monday with Wang Yi, during which both leaders discussed ongoing diplomatic efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
According to official sources, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the recently concluded Islamabad Talks as well as the direct negotiations between the United States and Iran.
During the conversation, Wang Yi congratulated Pakistan’s leadership on its dedicated efforts to foster peace in the region and reaffirmed the People’s Republic of China’s continued support for Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role.
Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as the preferred means of resolving conflicts and restoring stability. He emphasized that peaceful engagement remains essential for addressing complex regional challenges.
Both leaders also discussed the Pakistan–China Five-Point Peace Initiative, aimed at facilitating the peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue and cooperation. They underscored that diplomacy remains the only viable path forward.
The two sides agreed to remain in close contact and continue coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
