Indians roast Modi for using military officers to promote his ‘hate politics’

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was boxed around on social media by belligerent Indians after the promo of megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s next Kaun Banega Crorepati (Who Wants to be a Millionaire) episode shows hosting of three female military officers.

Operation Sindoor officers Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and then Commander Prerna Deosthalee were the guests at KBC 17's Independence Day special episode.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17 returned this Monday with contestants gracing the hot seats. The network has unveiled a special Independence Day episode featuring several special contestants.

In the new promo released on the official Instagram handle of Sony Entertainment Television, veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan is seen hosting Colonel Sofiya Qureshi (Army), Wing Commander Vyomika Singh (Air Force), and Commander Prerna Deosthalee (Navy) on KBC 17.

Amitabh Bachchan is seen having a conversation with the veterans about Operation Sindoor. Colonel Sofiya reveals some details about the mission.

The clip begins with Colonel Sofiya sitting on the hot seat with Wing Commander Vyomika and Commander Prerna. She said, “Pakistan ye karta chala aa rha hai to jawab dena banta tha sir. Isiliye Operation Sindoor ko plan kiya gya (Pakistan keeps doing this. So it was necessary to reply, sir. That's why Operation Sindoor was planned).”

This special episode of KBC 17 will be aired on the occasion of India's Independence Day, on August 15, 2025, at 9 pm.

The promo, however, quickly shot down none other than by Indians on social media bulldozing Modi’s gimmicks to mislead the Indian public.

User on X platform Ashok Swain remarked “Modi is so afraid of losing the narrative that he sends 3 uniformed military officers to a private channel to explain to a Bollywood spineless star why his ‘Operation Sindoor’ was planned against Pakistan. Modi shamelessly using army for his hate politics.”

Another X user said “This is just unbelievable. Operation Sindoor officers appearing on national TV show KBC Just because one "nationalist" party wants to milk some votes?”

Another said “Now army officers are being used for the Bihar elections through KBC. Amitabh Bachchan is the government's trusted PR.”
