Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said on Thursday that the Pakistan Peoples Party’s politics in Sindh was centred on the people rather than power, and that the provincial government would continue its public service agenda despite political pressure or propaganda.
In a statement, Memon said the PPP had always conducted its politics among the people and for their welfare.
“Those who are afraid of going to the people rely on social media and propaganda for politics,” he said.
Memon said the Sindh government did not need political certification from anyone, adding that its mandate came from the people of the province.
“Our certificate is the mandate of the people of Sindh, and the Sindh government is the protector of that mandate,” he said.
He called on political opponents to present their own performance instead of blaming the PPP for their failures.
Memon said the provincial government would continue to answer political allegations and propaganda through its performance and public service.
He said the people of Sindh had repeatedly placed their trust in the PPP and that the government was working to strengthen that confidence through its performance.
The PPP, he added, believed in public service, democracy and development rather than politics based on hatred, division and blame.
