Lahore police included in Joint Investigation Team (JIT) - devised to probe the attack on former prime minister Imran Khan – has failed to acquire a target as Lahore police CCPO had directed them to find the link between detained accused Naveed and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
During the investigation of accused Naveed, no link could be found between him and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. Naveed is stick to the statement he gave on the very first day. His wife, relatives and friends were also interrogated.
The services of former and retired police officers were used for interrogation. The JIT has recorded statements of 200 persons including five injured.
No one from the security squad of Imran Khan came to record their statement. The Lahore police chief boosts up the efforts to put the blame for the attack on political rivals.
