Jemima Goldsmith says visibility of her updates throttled to 'almost zero' as Imran Khan remains in solitary confinement
Jemima Goldsmith, the ex-wife of former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan, has made a public plea to X owner Elon Musk, claiming that her posts about Imran Khan’s situation are being deliberately limited on the platform.
Jemima said her updates about Imran Khan’s treatment by Pakistani authorities and legal ordeal “do not reach the public” and called on Musk to address what she described as “visibility filtering on her account”.
In her post on X, Jemima said her sons have been barred from meeting their father, who has been “held unlawfully” for 22 months in solitary confinement.
“A personal plea to @elonmusk My two sons have not been allowed to see or speak to their father Imran Khan who has been held unlawfully for 22 months of solitary confinement. X is the only place left where we can still tell the world he is a political prisoner without basic human rights.
“Yet every time I post about him, the reach inside Pakistan (and often globally) is throttled to almost zero,” she wrote.
Asking Musk to fix the visibility filtering on her account, she added: “You promised free speech, not ‘speech but no one hears it’.”
