Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry on Monday appeared before the court of Magistrate Waqas Ahmad Raja in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The investigation officer has not submitted challan of the case in court so far.
A case was registered against PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry for inciting people against state institutions.
Fawad appeared before judge along with his lawyers. The court asked the police why the challan had not been submitted so far. The court said that the investigation officer could be ordered to attend court.
Lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said that by-elections were going to be held on March 16, so the court should give a date for a hearing after the by-polls.
The court said the investigation officer will be summoned and then any date will be given.
The court then allowed Fawad Chaudhry to go.
