The Lahore High Court has rejected the petitions filed against the election results of various national and provincial constituencies filed by the PTTI-backed candidates.
The court dismissed the petitions against prominent politicians such as Maryam Nawaz, Khawaja Asif, Aleem Khan, Atta Tarr and Saiful Mulook Khokhar among others.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi delivered a reserved judgment on the petitions on Monday.
The applications of Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid, Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokhar, Zubair Khan Niazi, Rehana Imtiaz Dar and others were dismissed by the court for being non-maintainable.
The court said the Election Commission was in the process of consolidating the results and at this point the petitions are not admissible.
The court directed the petitioners to approach the Election Commission of Pakistan.
