The Pixel 9 series debuted in August last year, and since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of its more budget-friendly counterpart, the Pixel 9a. Set for launch in early March, there has been a lot of buzz and speculation surrounding the device. Recently, a new leak featuring official case designs has added fuel to the fire, suggesting that the Pixel 9a will closely resemble the flagship Pixel 9, with a few subtle changes. Pixel 9a Design and Colour Options
A report from Android Authority reveals that official silicone cases for the Pixel 9a have surfaced online. The leak shows four colour variants, which are likely to match the device itself: Iris, Obsidian, Peony, and Porcelain. These options are in line with the new colour palette Google introduced with the Pixel 9 series. The case designs also hint that while the Pixel 9a will adopt Google’s signature camera bar, it will be flush with the back panel, unlike the raised design seen on the flagship Pixel 9 series, which had received mixed reactions from some users.
Pixel 9a Expected Specifications
In terms of hardware, the Pixel 9a is anticipated to be powered by Google’s custom Tensor G4 chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM. It is also expected to ship with Android 15 out of the box. For its display, the smartphone is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch Actua screen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the camera front, leaks suggest a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens on the rear.
The Pixel 9a may also come with a 5,100mAh battery, supporting 23W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging.
However, since no official details have been released by the company yet, it's important to take this information with a grain of salt.
