CAA officer murdered with iron rod blow in Multan

A Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officer was murdered with an iron rod blow over a minor dispute in Multan Cantonment area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Deceased Salman Khokhar arrived at the Kamran Hotel to buy meal in Multan Cantonment on Monday night where he had a tiff when suddenly accused Haris Bhatti attacked him. The CAA officer fell unconscious after hit by a severe blow of the iron rod.

Salman, who was a brother Member of the Cantonment Board Multan Mohammad Yaqoob, was rushed to Nishtar Hospital Multan in critical condition, but he breathed his last at the hospital.

Soon after the incident, a contingent of Multan Cantonment police rushed to the spot and started legal proceedings.

Earlier in August 2025, an elderly man allegedly slit the throats of his daughter and her three children, who had been living with him in his house in Multan.

Police said Irshad Bibi (36) had been living with his father, Waris Khokhar, in his house at Basti Malook, along with his minor sons, Ahmed Ali (2), Muhammad Ali (2) and six-month-old daughter Mehnaz, after developing differences with her husband, for the last two weeks.

Police said that Khokhar exchanged harsh words with his daughter over her separation from her husband and locked her and her children in a room.

Police said that later Khokhar entered the room with a knife and allegedly slit the throats of his daughter and her three minor children. They died on the spot.
