Case lodged after extortionist threatens to destroy factory in Karachi

Korangi police registered a case against a former employee of a factory for threatening the owners to set their factory on fire if they did not pay extortion in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The incident took place in Awami Colony of the Korangi area.

According to details, the factory management dismissed Shehzad from his service due to his poor character.

The first information report (FIR) stated that on January 9, 2025, the accused entered into the factory premises with companions Iqbal Abro, Sudhir, Ashfaq, and others and threatened the management to give him extortion, otherwise he would torch the factory.

The case was registered on behalf of Security in Incharge of the factory, Mohammad Asghar. Police registered the case under the anti-terrorism acts.
