Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh turned heads during a cosy dinner date in New York, with fresh details from the restaurant chef sending fans into a frenzy online.
The Bollywood power couple recently flew to New York to celebrate the New Year and returned to India on January 11, but not before enjoying quality time, food outings, and fan interactions across the city.
Photos and videos from their trip quickly surfaced on social media, including one standout image that showed Deepika and Ranveer posing with a restaurant chef after an intimate dinner.
The picture was shared on Instagram by chef Mayank Istwal and captured the couple twinning in black outfits as they dined at the Michelin-starred Indian restaurant Musaafer in New York.
Sharing the photo, the chef wrote, "It was a pleasure to host @deepikapadukone and @ranveersingh. Amazing humans!"
Curious fans were quick to flood the comments section, with one asking whether the couple had ordered the chef’s much-loved dal makhani. Mayank confirmed that they did, revealing that despite being in New York, Deepika and Ranveer chose to indulge in Indian delicacies.

Earlier during their New York stay, Deepika and Ranveer also visited chef Vikas Khanna’s restaurant, Bungalow.
There, they celebrated the success of Ranveer's recent release by enjoying modak, with Deepika even trying her hand at making the sweet for the first time under Vikas Khanna’s guidance.
On the professional front, Deepika Padukone is gearing up for a busy slate of upcoming projects.
She will star alongside Shah Rukh Khan in King, directed by Siddharth Anand.
The film also features Suhana Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal, Abhishek Bachchan, and Arshad Warsi, and is currently in production with a release expected later this year. Deepika is also set to appear in Atlee’s AA22xA6, produced by Sun Pictures, starring Allu Arjun in the lead role and scheduled for a 2027 theatrical release.
