The 4th Hafiz Salman Butt Memorial National Ranking Inter-Club Boys Weightlifting Championship 2026 is scheduled to take place on 13 and 14 February (Friday and Saturday) in Lahore, under the banner of the Punjab Weightlifting Association.
All affiliated clubs across Punjab have been requested to submit their boys’ entries by 31 January 2026 to ensure timely registration and smooth coordination.
According to Sohail Javed Butt, Volunteer Media Coordinator, the championship will feature competition across eight bodyweight categories: 60kg, 65kg, 71kg, 79kg, 88kg, 94kg, 110kg, and +110kg. In addition to athlete entries, each club is required to nominate one referee, who must attend in proper official kit to help ensure the fair and professional conduct of the event.
Organised in memory of the late HSB, the championship is being led by Punjab Weightlifting Association President Jabran Bin Salman and Secretary General Aqeel Javed Butt, a former international weightlifter. The organisers have expressed their appreciation for the cooperation of participating clubs and emphasised the importance of collective effort in making the event a success.
