Hailey Bieber appears to have taken a not-so-subtle swipe at Justin Bieber’s former manager Scooter Braun—just hours after he publicly praised the singer’s new album Swag.
The 28-year-old model and Rhode Beauty founder posted a selfie to Instagram Stories, using a playful filter that exaggerated her lips and eyes. But what really caught fans' attention was the background audio: Mariah Carey's Obsessed, a track widely considered a diss anthem.
While Hailey didn't name names, the timing was suspicious. Her post came shortly after Braun, 43, broke his silence on Bieber's latest musical chapter, calling Swag “the most authentically Justin Bieber album to date” and saying the artist had “poured his soul” into it.
“I’ve had the privilege of witnessing his growth for almost two decades,” Braun shared on Instagram. “And I’m incredibly proud and impressed.”
Hailey’s apparent jab comes amid ongoing speculation about tension between Braun and the Biebers following the end of their long-standing professional relationship in 2023. Hailey, who has fiercely defended Justin’s new music from online critics, has been vocal in her support during Swag's rollout.
In a separate Instagram post, she celebrated the album’s record-breaking first-day success, sharing that it had amassed over 74 million Spotify streams globally, Justin’s biggest debut to date.
She also included a link for fans to purchase the album and shared images of a Times Square billboard for Swag, slamming internet rumors with the fiery caption: “Is it finally clocking to you f**ing losers?”*
While Braun claimed he played "no role" in the new album’s creation, Hailey’s reaction suggests she’d prefer he kept it that way. The couple—currently vacationing in the Mediterranean with their son Jack Blues and friends including actress Camila Morrone—seem united amid all the noise.
