KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s announcement that the PTI has launched a 90-day protest movement has put the party’s plan to protest on August 5 in jeopardy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Sources told the 24News TV channel that the fact that Gandapur came to Lahore along with PTI members of the parliament (MPs), but without the party’s Punjab leadership, had irked the core committee, which had raised eyebrows.
Quoting the committee members, sources said that the party’s chief organiser in Punjab was not accompanying Gandapur at the press conference.
The committee had also pointed out that the former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan’s sisters, Sanam Javed and Amjad Niazi were also conspicuous by their absence.
