As many as two people lost their lives after eating poisonous food in a hotel in Tandlianwala, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
The incident occurred in Chak No 430/GB located in the jurisdiction of City Police Station, Tandlianwala.
One deceased, who was later identified as Fazal Abbas, died on the spot, and another man, Manzoor, breathed his last in the hospital.
One resident, Mohammad Ashfaq, informed the police about the incident.
Soon after receiving the report, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tandilianwala Ejaz Ahmad and Inspector Imtiaz, along with a police contingent, reached the crime scene.
Later, police shifted the dead bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ), Tandilianwala, for autopsy.
Police said that after the postmortem, the real reason for the deaths will be determined.
