The federal government has announced a series of appointments, transfers and administrative reshuffles involving senior officers across various ministries, divisions and public sector institutions.
According to separate notifications issued by the Establishment Division on Monday, Sajid Mehmood Qazi, a Grade-21 officer serving as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Division, has been assigned the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Special Economic Zones Authority.
In another major transfer, Mazhar Yasin Khan, a Grade-20 officer of the Secretariat Group, has been relieved of his duties as Commissioner for Afghan Refugees Punjab in Lahore and posted as an OSD in the Establishment Division. He has also been granted 365 days of leave to remain abroad from July 20, 2026, to July 19, 2027.
The government also transferred Grade-19 Pakistan Administrative Service officer Kashif Hussain from the Religious Affairs Division, handing over his services to the Government of Punjab. Similarly, the services of Grade-18 Pakistan Administrative Service officer Nosheen Sarwar, who was awaiting posting in the Establishment Division, have also been placed at the disposal of the Punjab government.
Grade-18 Police Service of Pakistan officer Daniyal Ahmed Javed, who was serving as an OSD, has likewise been transferred to the Punjab government.
Meanwhile, the services of Intelligence Bureau Assistant Director Bina Zaidi have been placed at the disposal of the Financial Monitoring Unit in Karachi.
According to another notification, Commissioner (Taxpayers Audit) Naheed Ahmed has been repatriated from the Punjab Revenue Authority to her parent department, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Headquarters in Islamabad.
The services of PASSCO Deputy General Manager Aamir Khan have been transferred to the Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan.
In a separate appointment, Nasir Abbas has been posted as Assistant Director at Pakistan Baitul Mal on a three-year deputation. Before his appointment, he was serving in the School Education Department of the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The federal government has also appointed retired Superintending Engineer of the Punjab Communications Department, Ismat Sharif Dhillon, as Member (Buildings) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on a contract basis. According to the notification, his appointment takes effect immediately.
The latest administrative changes are part of the government's ongoing efforts to fill key positions and streamline the functioning of federal ministries, departments and public institutions.
