Pakistan's beloved singer Mustafa Zahid, best known for the hit song "Toh Phir Aao," has revealed that many fans are still hoping to hear his voice in Awarapan 2.
He said listeners have become so emotionally attached to the film's original soundtrack that they find it difficult to accept he is not part of the sequel.
Speaking in an interview, Mustafa said he has been flooded with questions from friends, family members and even strangers at airports, all asking whether he has sung for Awarapan 2.
The Jee Lenge singer admitted that it has been difficult to answer those questions because he knows the truth would disappoint many people.
He said he did not want to tell fans he was not involved, as he understood how much the songs meant to them.
Mustafa also shared that he has received around 25,000 Instagram messages in just two days, with fans repeatedly asking him to be part of the sequel and urging the filmmakers to include his voice.
Mustafa also described the overwhelming response as a reflection of the lasting emotional bond fans have with the original Awarapan soundtrack.

He is a songwriter and the lead vocalist of the rock band Roxen.
Born on December 18, 1984, in Lahore, he gained widespread fame with his soulful voice and became a household name through Bollywood hits such as Toh Phir Aao, Tera Mera Rishta, Bhula Dena and Hum Jee Lenge.
Mustafa comes from a family with strong musical roots. He is the nephew of rock legend Ali Azmat and is related to the late Sufi singer Inayat Hussain Bhatti.
Mustafa is married to Jia and is father to a son, Musa Zahid.
