Veteran Pakistani actress Rubina Ashraf has shared a humorous memory from her 2017 trip to Venice with her daughter, actress Minna Tariq.
Speaking on a morning show, Rubina revealed that visiting Venice had been a lifelong dream and she had planned a special moment for the trip.
She wanted to ride a gondola while singing the classic song Do Lafzon Ki Hai Dil Ki Kahani, with Minna recording the video for her.
However, things did not go as planned. According to Rubina, her daughter called the idea "cringe," leaving her disappointed.
The actress joked that she had travelled all the way to Venice with that dream in mind and felt the moment was ruined.
Looking back with laughter, Rubina said she now hopes to visit Venice again someday to finally fulfil her wish.
This time, she said, she would take a friend along who would happily record the video while she sings her favourite song.
Rubina Ashraf is one of Pakistan's most respected actresses, directors and producers.
She has been part of the entertainment industry since 1980 and is known for hit dramas including Kasak, Hazaron Raaste, Badaltey Mausam, Do Bol, and Khuda Aur Muhabbat 3.
Besides acting, she has also directed acclaimed projects such as Ruswai and Surkh Chandni. She is married to Tariq Mirza and is the mother of actress Minna Tariq.
