The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has hiked the electricity tariff by Rs1.61 per unit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Nepra issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday, saying the raise in power tariff was for the month of April in connection with monthly fuel price adjustment.
The CPPA has sought an increase of Rs2.01 per unit.
The raise in tariff will not impact the lifeline and K-Electric consumers.
