Two lawyers gunned down in Muridkay, Bar Council announces strike

Two lawyers were gunned down by unknown armed motorcyclists in Muridkay on Friday, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

According to police the victims were identified as former Secretary Lahore Bar Association Latif Sira and his friend Rana Sufyan Sira advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan. 

The deceased were resident of Nangal Sahdan. Advocate Latif’s brother was also killed by the opponents few months back. The victim were travelling in a car when armed men attacked them and escaped from the scene. 

Meanwhile Punjab Bar Council has announced strike call in Lahore division against the killing of lawyers. 

According to announcement, Punjab Bar Council has condemned the murders of the lawyers and demanded the arrest of the culprits.  

Vice Chairman Punjab Bar Council Irfan Sadiq Tarar and other officials announced strike call on Saturday. 

Vice Chairman Punjab Bar said the incident of the murder of the two lawyers is a question mark on the performance of the security agencies. 

He demanded that IG Punjab should immediately order the arrest of all those involved in this heinous murder and punish them according to the law.
