Lahore police athletes were honoured at a ceremony held at the District Police Headquarters Qila Gujjar Singh after delivering an impressive performance in the National Championship 2026, where they secured gold, silver, and bronze medals in various sporting events.
According to 24NewsHD TV on Saturday, the championship featured competitions in judo, powerlifting, and tug of war, with police athletes competing in different categories and achieving notable success.
The women’s police team also delivered outstanding performances, adding to the department’s achievements at the national event.
SP Headquarters Munaza Karamat hosted a special ceremony to recognize the players' accomplishments.
During the event, athletes were presented with certificates of appreciation and cash awards in recognition of their hard work and success.
DSP Headquarters Babar Shaukat, Reserve Inspector Line Raza Zakir, and Line Officer Ahsan-ul-Haq were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the ceremony, Munaza Karamat praised the dedication and commitment of the athletes, saying police players had brought pride to the department through their achievements in both national and international competitions.
She encouraged the athletes to maintain their winning momentum and assured them that all available resources would be utilized to promote sports and provide better facilities for players within the police force.
