Pakistani IT firms steal the show at Saudi Pak Tech exhibition

As many as 74 companies and 800 delegates represented Pakistan’s Information Technology (IT) industry at the Saudi Pak Tech exhibition held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Pakistan Software Houses Association organised the mega global event in collaboration with Pakistan Software Export Board, and the Pakistani embassy in Riyadh.

As many as 172,000 people from 183 countries, associated with the IT industry, attended the exhibition.

Pakistan’s pavilion at the exhibition was of special attraction for the representatives of IT firms who had come there from around the world.

Pakistan’s envoy to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq inaugurated the pavilion.

At the event, Pakistan’s software and IT companies also signed several agreements with the Saudi and other countries’ firms.

Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan’s ambassador said that the presence of such a large number of Pakistani companies at the event was a proof that the prospects of the country’s collaboration with the countries of the Middle East in the IT sector were bright.
