In an important development in Shadman police station arson case, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Thursday indicted (amended) PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Dr. Yasmin Rashid, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Both Qureshi and Dr. Yasmin pleaded not guilty.
The court summoned witnesses against the accused on March 17.
ATC judge Manzar Ali Gill heard the case at Kot Lakhpat Jail.
The court had earlier accepted the prosecution’s request for an amendment in the indictment.
Aliya Hamza, Khadija Shah, Sanam Javed and other suspects appeared in the court.
Rana Mudassar Umar Advocate and Burhan Moazzam Malik Advocate represented the accused in the court.
Hundreds of PTI workers had taken to streets after hearing the news of the arrest of their leader Imran Khan, also a former prime minister.
They went berserk, ransacked military and government buildings besides setting them on fire and damaging the memorials of the Pakistan Army martyrs.
