PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has said that entire nation stands with security forces during Jaffar Express tragedy in Balochistan.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Slaman Raja said that PTI stands with the entire nation, adding that PTI founder Imran Khan has also expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in Balochistan.
He said “this is a national tragedy, it has nothing to do with politics, we pray for the martyrs”. Salman Raja said this is not an occasion for politics, but for sharing grief.
PTI Secretary General admitted that some immoral tweets were made by some accounts attributed to PTI. He said PTI cannot control millions of social media accounts. Salman Raja said PTI was working with the security agencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Salman Raja said PTI leadership also discussed this national tragedy in the National Assembly. He lamented that Opposition leader Omar Ayub's microphone was switched off and he was not allowed to speak. Salman Raja said this is an opportunity to bring stability to the country. He prayed for the people affected by the Jafar Express tragedy. Salman Raja said that PTI will continue to raise legitimate questions will be asked.
He said the nation has the right to know the seriousness of the situation. Salman Raja said, “We have to bring democracy to Balochistan”.
Opposition leader Omar Ayub said PTI will debate on Balochistan. He said the government had a complete blackout about Baloch issue. He said PTI was reminding over a year that the situation in Balochistan was not good.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas condemned the deteriorating law and order situation in the country. He strongly denounced the Jaffer Express incident, offering prayers for the martyrs and expressing concern over the security agencies' inability to prevent such tragedies.
He further stressed that the government must take opposition parties on board to address national issues. He also demanded the resignation of the Defence Minister, holding him accountable for security failures.
PTI leaders reiterated that a government must have public support to function effectively. They criticized the ruling leadership, stating, "Those in power are not true representatives of the people."
They also highlighted that the founder of PTI has always advocated for dialogue as the only solution to the country's challenges. The entire party strongly condemned the Jaffer Express attack and vowed to continue raising concerns over governance and security issues.
